RULES FOR VOTING

The following are the rules for voting activity ("Voting") for the program titled "Amul STAR Voice of India 2" ("Program") on Star Plus channel ("Channel") conducted by STAR India Private Limited ("STAR India"):

1. The Program is a music competition where individuals ("Contestants") will compete against each other and proceed to next levels in the competition based on the points scored by them and on the number of votes received by them through Voting.

2. The Program will be telecasted on the Channel on every Friday at 22:00 hours beginning from July 18, 2008 and on every Friday at 20:00 hours beginning from October 10, 2008. STAR India and/or the Channel reserve the right to change the dates, the timings and days of the episodes of the Program, without giving prior written intimation to the viewers.

3. The viewers by participating in the Voting will get an opportunity to cast their vote for any Contestant participating in an episode of the Program. The information pertaining to the Voting will be available during the telecast of the Program on the Channel and on www.starplus.in and www.starselect.com

4. The votes received by the viewers in the Voting Cycle (as defined below), starting 9 August 2008 and ending 14 September 2008, for each Contestant will be given 50% weightage and the points awarded by the judges of the Program to each Contestant will be given 50% of the weightage.

5. One (1) Contestant with the lowest cumulative score will be eliminated from the competition during the Period stated in rule 4 above. For Voting Cycle starting 20 September 2008 and ending 21 September 2008, two (2) Contestants with the lowest cumulative score will be eliminated from the competition.

6. During the Period starting 27 September 2008 and ending 28 September 2008, i.e. the wild card round in the competition, eight (8) Contestants eliminated from the previous weeks of the Program will compete against each other and in this round the points awarded by the judges for the Contestants will be given 100% weightage. Two (2) Contestants will be selected and will re-enter the competition in the next round. For avoidance of doubt, viewers will not be entitled to vote for the Contestants in the wild card round.

7. From Voting Cycle starting 4 October 2008 and ending 19 October 2008 one (1) Contestant with lowest number of votes from viewers will be eliminated from the competition. During this Voting Cycle, the votes received by the viewers for the Contestant will be given 100% weightage. For avoidance of doubt, the points awarded by the judges will not be taken into consideration.

8. During the Period starting 25 October 2008 and ending 26 October 2008, i.e. the judges call back round in the competition, three (3) Contestants eliminated from the previous weeks of the Program will be brought back into the competition solely based on judges absolute discretion. These three (3) Contestants will compete with the other three (3) Contestants who were in the competition. For avoidance of doubt, viewers will not be entitled to vote for the Contestants in the judges call back round.

9. From Voting Cycle starting 1 November 2008 and ending 2 November 2008, the viewers will be allowed to vote for three (3) Contestants declared as last three (3) out of six (6) Contestants based on the judges scores and viewers voting in this Voting Cycle is open only for the last three (3) Contestants. There is no elimination this week as the last three (3) Contestants have just appealed for viewers votes. During this Voting Cycle, the votes received by the viewers for the Contestant will be given 100% weightage. One (1) Contestant among these last three (3) Contestants with lowest number of votes from viewers will be eliminated from the competition in the episode telecast on 7 November 2008.

10. From Voting Cycle starting 8 November 2008 and ending 9 November 2008, the viewers will be allowed to vote for three (3) Contestants declared as last three (3) out of five (5) Contestants based on the judges scores and viewers voting in this Voting Cycle is open only for the last three (3) Contestants. During this Voting Cycle, the votes received by the viewers for the Contestant will be given 100% weightage. One (1) Contestant among these last three (3) Contestants with lowest number of votes from viewers will be eliminated from the competition in the episode telecast on 14 November 2008.

11. From Voting Cycle starting 6 December 2008 and ending 7 December 2008, the viewers will be allowed to vote for three (3) Contestants declared as last three (3) out of four (4) Contestants based on the judges scores and viewers voting in this Voting Cycle is open only for the last three (3) Contestants. During this Voting Cycle, the votes received by the viewers for the Contestant will be given 100% weightage. One (1) Contestant among these last three (3) Contestants with lowest number of votes from viewers will be eliminated from the competition in the episode telecast on 12 December 2008.

12. From Voting Cycle starting 13 December 2008 and ending 14 December 2008, the viewers will be allowed to vote for two (2) Contestants declared as last two (2) out of the three (3) Contestants based on the judges scores and viewers voting in this Voting Cycle is open only for the last two (2) Contestants. During this Voting Cycle, the votes received by the viewers for the Contestant will be given 100% weightage. One (1) Contestant among these last two (2) Contestants with lowest number of votes from viewers will be eliminated from the competition and top two (2) Contestants will be declared in the episode telecast on 19 December 2008.

13. From Voting Cycle starting 19 December 2008 and ending 21 December 2008, the viewers will be allowed to vote for the final top two (2) Contestants. Based on the votes received by the viewers a winner will be chosen out of the two (2) Contestants who will be crowned "Amul Star Voice of India 2". During this Voting Cycle, the votes received by the viewers for the Contestant will be given 100% weightage. For avoidance of doubt, the points awarded by the judges will not be taken into consideration.

14. The Voting shall commence from the start date and time specified in the table below and ends on the end date and time specified in the table below (hereinafter referred to as "Voting Cycle" for each week and "Period" for entire Program):

15. The viewers in India during the Period can vote for the Contestants as provided below:

(a) SMS

(i) Viewers during the Period may send a SMS to 57827 with the keyword "VOI" followed by Contestants number (ranging from 01 to 12). For e.g. VOI XX

(ii) For the purposes of the Program, the SMS will be deemed to be received when such SMS reaches the server of the concerned telecom/mobile operator. Any unclear/incorrect/incomplete SMS, including SMS with wrong characters shall be considered invalid entry and deemed null and void.

(iii) The cost of the SMS shall be solely borne by the viewers. The cost of each SMS shall be charged by the respective telecom/mobile operators at rate stated below:

RATES:

Rs. 3/- (Rupees Three only) by Vodafone, Airtel, BPL, Idea, Reliance Communications, Spice Telecom, Aircel, Reliance Telecom and Tata Indicom.

Rs. 2/- (Rupees Two only) by BSNL.

(b) BSNL and MTNL Landlines

(i) Viewers during the Period may dial the BSNL and MTNL landline number 1862 888 7827 followed by Contestants number (ranging from 01 to 12). For e.g. 1862 888 7827 XX.

(ii) For the purposes of the Program, the votes of the viewers through landline will be deemed to be received when the call is completed. Any unclear/incorrect/incomplete call shall be considered invalid entry and deemed null and void.

(iii) The cost of the call shall be solely borne by the viewers. The cost of each call shall be charged by BSNL and MTNL at 2 (two) pulses per call.

(c) Tata Indicom

(i) Viewers during the Period may dial the Tata Indicom number 12900 followed by Contestants number (ranging from 01 to 12). For e.g. 12900 XX.

(ii) For the purposes of the Program, the votes of the viewers through Tata Indicom number will be deemed to be received when the call is completed. Any unclear/incorrect/incomplete call shall be considered invalid entry and deemed null and void.

(iii) The cost of the call shall be solely borne by the viewers. The cost of each call shall be charged by Tata Indicom at Rs.6/- (Rupees Six only) per minute.

(d) Website

(i) Viewers during the Period may log on to the website www.starplus.in or www.starselect.com and vote for the Contestants by following the instructions specified in the website.

(ii) For the purposes of the Program, the votes of the viewers through website will be deemed to be received when the session is completed. Any unclear/incorrect/incomplete entry, including entry with wrong characters shall be considered invalid entry and deemed null and void.

(iii) The cost of the Internet session shall be solely borne by the viewers.

16. The viewers in United Arab Emirates (UAE) during the Period can vote for the Contestants as provided below:

(a) SMS

(i) Viewers during the Period may send a SMS to 7827 with the keyword "VOI" followed by Contestants number (ranging from 01 to 12). For e.g. VOI XX.

(ii) For the purposes of the Program, the SMS will be deemed to be received when such SMS reaches the server of the concerned telecom/mobile operator. Any unclear/incorrect/incomplete SMS, including SMS with wrong characters shall be considered invalid entry and deemed null and void.

(iii) The cost of the SMS shall be solely borne by the viewers. The cost of each SMS shall be charged by Etisalat at the rate of 3 (three) Dirhams per sms.

(b) Website

(i) Viewers during the Period may log on to the website www.starplus.in or www.starselect.com and vote for the Contestants by following the instructions specified in the website.

(ii) For the purposes of the Program, the votes of the viewers through website will be deemed to be received when the session is completed. Any unclear/incorrect/incomplete entry, including entry with wrong characters shall be considered invalid entry and deemed null and void.

(iii) The cost of the Internet session shall be solely borne by the viewers.

17. The viewers in Middle East (other then United Arab Emirates) during the Period can vote for the Contestants as provided below:

(i) Viewers during the Period may log on to the website www.starplus.in or www.starselect.com and vote for the Contestants by following the instructions specified in the website.

(ii) For the purposes of the Program, the votes of the viewers through website will be deemed to be received when the session is completed. Any unclear/incorrect/incomplete entry, including entry with wrong characters shall be considered invalid entry and deemed null and void.

(iii) The cost of the Internet session shall be solely borne by the viewers.

19. The maximum number of votes that a viewer can send for a Contestant during each Voting Cycle is stated below:

(a) SMS

(i) Maximum number of votes that the viewers can send for each Contestant during the Period via SMS is 20 (twenty) SMS from one mobile number.

(ii) In the event, a viewer sends more that 20 (twenty) SMS for one Contestant during the Period, the votes sent after the first 20 SMS shall not be counted and will be considered null and void.

(b) BSNL and MTNL Landline and Tata Indicom

(i) Maximum number of votes that the viewers can send for each Contestant during the Period via landline is 20 (twenty) calls from one landline.

(ii) In the event, a viewer calls more than 20 times for one Contestant during the Period, the votes sent after the first 20 calls shall not be counted and will be considered null and void.

(c) Website

(i) Maximum number of votes that the viewers can send for each Contestant during the Period via Internet is 20 (twenty) entries from one e-mail id.

(ii) In the event, a viewer send more than 20 entries for one Contestant during the Period, the entries sent after the first 20 entries shall not be counted and will be considered null and void.

20. Votes sent by the viewers for the Contestants after the Voting Cycle shall not be considered and shall be null and void.

21. STAR India shall not be responsible and/or liable in any manner whatsoever for any network problem, breakdown of machinery, unclear network, disruption in the network and/or the cost of the SMS or call or Internet session charged by the telecom/mobile operator etc. Any dispute in connection to the above shall be settled between the subscribers/viewers and the telecom/mobile operator directly, without involving STAR India.

22. In case of telecom and/or network failure and/or for any reasons whatsoever, STAR India reserves the right to change the Voting system/mechanism and/or cease from accepting votes of the viewers for any and all the episodes of the Program, or take such necessary steps as it may deem fit.

23. The Voting is merely to enable the viewers to choose their favorite/eligible Contestant and there shall be no winners declared or prizes distributed for this Voting by the viewers.

24. The outcome of the Voting/the decision made by the Channel and/or STAR India regarding the Voting shall be final and binding on the viewers and in no event shall the viewer/voter dispute the decision made by STAR India, Channel, their directors and/or its employees in connection with the Voting.

25. The elimination of the Contestants and/or the decisions made by judges of the Program, STAR India and/or the Channel shall be final and binding and in no event shall the viewer dispute the decision made by the judges of the Program, STAR India and/or the Channel.

GENERAL RULES 1. The viewers interested in participating in the Voting must be above the age of 18 years and a resident of India (as per the Income Tax Act, 1961).

2. STAR India reserves all rights to make amendments to the existing rules and regulations without prior notice. It shall be the sole responsibility of the viewers to check the rules and regulations of the Voting for the Program on the website of STAR India.

3. Non-conformance by a viewer of the rules of the Voting will make such viewer's votes null and void.

4. Each viewer agree that the viewer shall hold harmless the main sponsor, if any, the Channel, STAR India, its affiliates, its group companies, their employees, officers, directors or any other person from and against any injury/damage/harm/loss/ death/ mental or emotional trauma suffered by the viewer, in any manner whatsoever in connection with the Voting and/or the Program and waives all rights to file in person/ through any family member and/or third party any applications, criminal and/or civil proceedings in any courts or forum in India to claim any damages or reliefs.

5. The main sponsor, if any, the Channel, STAR India, its affiliates, its group companies, their employees, officers, directors or any other person is in no manner whatsoever responsible and/or shall not be held liable in any manner whatsoever, for any injury, death, mental or emotional trauma caused to the viewer in any manner whatsoever, in connection to the Voting and/or the Program.

6. Employees of and/or consultants of and/or persons hired on contract by the Channel, STAR India and the main sponsor of the Program, if any, and the members of their immediate family are ineligible for Voting for the Program.

7. By Voting it is deemed that the viewers have read, understood, accepted and agree to abide with all the rules and regulations of Voting.

8. The viewers shall comply with the laws of India.

9. The terms of these rules and regulations shall be construed in accordance with the laws of India and incase of any dispute or other matter arising in reference to the Voting and/or the Program shall be referred to a sole arbitrator appointed by STAR India and shall be governed by the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, amended from time to time. The venue for arbitration shall be Mumbai, in English language. All the costs, charges and expenses in connection to the Arbitration shall be solely borne by the viewer who has raised the dispute.

10. Subject to rule 9, only the courts in Mumbai shall have the sole and exclusive jurisdiction to decide on any dispute relating to the Voting and/or the Program.
