Sukhwinder Singh
A voice that exudes mitti ki khushboo, a voice that throbs with pain, a voice that echoes in your heart long after the song is over. Be it the love-struck Chhaiyya Chhaiyya, the powerfilled Omkara, the spoofy Dil Dance Maare, the mischievous Hai Hai Mirchi, the heartbroken Dard-e-Disco, the festive Kawa Kawa, inspiring Mitwa, Sukhwinder Singh has enchanted every Indian with his vibrant voice.
Sukhi, as he is fondly called, performed on stage for the first time when he was 7 years old. He went on to release the album Munda Southhall Da with T.Singh and later joined Laxmikant-Pyarelal's troupe. He soon became a music arranger and moved on to the South to compose for a couple of films. Sukhwinder traveled to Europe & America to learn different forms of music. His return to India threw an opportunity to be the voice of the reigning hero of the 90s, Shah Rukh Khan with the song Chhaiyya Chhaiyya.
Today, with popular albums behind him, Sukhwinder has moved to music composition too. He has composed music for Subhash Ghai's Black and White. He is also working extensively with Rehman.
Sukhwinder Singh, the 'Desi' voice in its truest form, is perfect for this quest to find the Voice of India.

You are a GREAT singer. You sing from your Heart which in turn touches the heart of the listener. May Allah (SWT) bless you and your family with a happy and prosperous life. The biggest disappointment for me was the elimination of Vipul last night. I can understand that in such a competion somebody has to go. But then I personally feel Vipul was good enough to be the VOI. I wonder if you will agree that this Public voting should be done away with and some other more sensible format should be looked into. It is so apparent that Sukhwinder is so not polished for being a Judge. He is so original. Even though i don't like some time the judges decisions, but i still have a chance to vote my opinon. Blaming judges? is just like they say in punjabi "Digi Khote Ton.. Gussa Ghumari Te". I love Sukhwinder as a singer. He is one of the best, all time greatest bollywood singer.

It is very shamefull thing that the talented persons are going out of the contest. Specially Mallar and Rithisha. I don't know why Rithisha did't get support from Judges just because she is from South India.You must see all as Indians.Ravi is not at all the level of Mallar and Vipul.Zakir and Rohit are better than Ravi. Some times even Rayon also good.

Hi, I wish you could watch the x factor in the uk. The judges are so calm and collective. They do not compete with the singers, they dont break cups on their desk... ie they dont get dramatic on stage. Also, It is the public that makes a contestant a star coz we are the ones that like to listen to them. hello Sukhiji, I was very happy that you are the only judge who was giving the correct comments abt the singing of each contestant. But nowadays I do not know what is wrong, yr comments and marks are not accurate.
