Ismail Darbar
Ismail Darbar, the music composer, glided into the industry with his rich compositions in Bhansali's Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. This won him the National Award & Filmfare's R.D.Burman Award for Best Musical Debut in 1999. Then followed Devdas which made history.
Be it Aankhon Ki Gustakhiyan, Tadap Tadap, Bairi Piya, Woh Kisna Hai, Aye Chaand or Maar Daala, the essence of Darbar's music lies in the melody, obviously, but also in its dignity. Hailing from a family of four generations of music, this comes as no surprise. Darbar mastered the Violin and played for legendary composers like Naushad, Laxmikant Pyarelal, Kalyanji Anandji, Bappi Lahiri, Rajesh Roshan, Anand-Milind, Nadeem-Shravan, Jatin-Lalit and even A.R.Rahman.
Lady luck shined on Darbar when he met director Sanjay Leela Bhansali. With the director's keen ear for music, the result was sheer magic! Filmgoers were astonished by the exemplary quality, melody and originality of the musical score.
Darbar has composed for films like Kisna, Tera Jaadoo Chal Gaya, Shakti, Deewangi and is currently working for some high-profile banners.

dr judges u made a big hue and cry after original top3. U were happy with the 2 finalists means ur aggression was only against Rithisha. Neither u could make any of ur favourites as VOI nor prevent less favourite Ravi from winning. Ur only achievements were 1. to push Sapthaparna to finals 2. to eliminate Rithisha after an elaborate, cumbursome, prolonged golmal exercise. dr Ismailji, but for the final result as per public vote, nothing was real in this show.. Vipul, Zakir, Mallar were used to degrade Rithisha from 2nd rank to 5th. Vipul used safely to replace Rithisha in top3. Again Vipul was used to promote Sapthaparna to top2. As can be seen, Rithisha was the worst hit contestant for no fault of hers. a request to whomsoever conceiving this show. pl in future u dont involve viewers in deciding the winner. U may try any other methods for ur revenue. Vipul & Sapthaparna may be allowed to reach finals jointly stating that they both got huge support with negligible diff. Vipul put in dangar zone for 2 reasons. 1. to show judges are unbiassed. 2. to make people believe now Vipul has huge mass support. So when he is declared VOI, it would be accepted well. When Rithisha was in top4 judges tried max to eliminate her & retain Vipul in top3 so that Sapth. can reach final surely. Mere intimidation/ degradation not enough to eliminate Riths. she was in top3 and stood a stumbling block for VOI action plan. Hence the golmal package that followed. just to eliminate a worthy potential candidate Rithisha, what all exercises the VOI team had to do! bring back 3 from the dead, change format, keep safe zone, cotinue to intimidate/ degrade Rithishas performance and above all extend the show unmindful of operational inconveniences over the original estimates. I think Mr Ismail Darbar wants to put Rithisha out of VOI. I have observed Ismail critising rithisha everytime even though she performs good.If they want only Vipul, Roshni and Zakhir then let them be very clear about it.I think realty show is loosing its meaning.Its better if Mr. Gajendra singh interfers this issue.. dr Ismailji, we know u are all too happy with Rithishas elimination. Ofcourse it is customary for judges to say a few nice words about deaparting contestants. While the other 2 judges could do their act perfectly, ur performance was so poor and pathetic. It just reminded me of court dawali calling names thrice. Bringing Vipul, Mallar & Zakir back from the "dead" was probably the stupidest decision made by the judges.The bias and discrimination is so blatant, it makes us sick. Since the judges brought back 3 people who were voted out by the public, Rithisha, Saptaparna and Ravi should walk out of the contest. It looks like judges do not want any of the three to win the title. This is just unfair and I am surprised that Gajendra Singh is going along with this. Hi,Mr. ismail i`m an iranian nationallity and most of time watching VOI. I would like to tell you that i`m agree with you about the system of voting and illmination. judges voting effect must be more , because it`s very hard for a performer and judges to see a wrong dicision . After watching this progrom i became very intrested in indian musics and songs .Finally i think zaker hussain has a very lovly voice but he needs more practice please help him.
